Koninklijke PBNA BV (hereinafter referred to as 'PBNA') considers the protection of your personal data to be important. The personal data of customers and visitors are therefore treated and secured with the greatest possible care. PBNA complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). PBNA does, however, need your details in order to be able to help you properly. In this statement PBNA explains what data it needs from you and what PBNA uses them for.

What personal data does PBNA collect from you?

PBNA stores the personal data that PBNA receives from you or your employer. In the first instance it concerns the data that PBNA receives during the registration process for an exam, orders a textbook/publication, creates a customer account online, when registering for a newsletter or when you contact PBNA by telephone or e-mail. Among other things, we collect and store the following personal data:

  • Name (first and last name), date of birth, address and other contact details.
  • Data relating to payment transactions and invoices
  • Data related to the ordering process of products.
  • Data in the context of your position and/or stated interests.

What does PBNA do with your personal data?

  • Registration and administrative handling of your participation in the exam of your choice.
  • Taking care of your chosen exam.
  • Perform analyses so PBNA can improve its services.
  • Send you the requested documents/information and respond to your questions.
  • Other services, such as sending a newsletter if you have signed up for it.
  • Comply with the laws and regulations that apply to us, including the AVG.

With whom does PBNA share your personal data?

Your diploma and/or certificate will be forwarded to the Central Diploma Register (CDR). This is managed by VCA Infra. The purpose of the Register is to verify the authenticity of the diploma. This data is not used by the CDR for commercial purposes. Look here for the CDR's privacy statement.

PBNA also publishes the diploma you have earned on www.vca-uitslag .nl. There you can access the VCA-pass on your cell phone after the exam. Below the pass is a link to the CDR.

Finally, we also share the exam result with your employer or the training institute that registered you because it is important for the performance of your job.

Miscellaneous

Newsletter

With its newsletter PBNA informs interested parties about news in the field of PBNA's services. Every newsletter contains a link with which you can unsubscribe and/or change your preferences.

Security and retention of your data

PBNA protects your personal data against misuse and access by unauthorized persons through the techniques currently available for that purpose. PBNA retains your personal data as long as required by law or in the context of VCA/SOG examination. Since the diploma is valid for ten years, we keep this diploma for ten years.

View, correct, update and delete your information

You may at any time view and/or correct or update your personal data. In addition, you may ask PBNA to delete your information and not to use it again. In a number of cases you may indicate that you would like PBNA to make limited use of your information.

Do you want to perform one of the above actions? Please contact us via [email protected]. PBNA will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within 4 weeks. If you wish to have your data deleted, PBNA will first check whether this is (already) legally permitted. If PBNA is not (yet) permitted by law to delete your details, PBNA will inform you of this and indicate at what point in time PBNA will be able to delete your details.

Complaint

If you do not agree with the way we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with us (click here for our contact details). You can also submit a complaint to the Personal Data Authority.

Amendments Privacy Statement

PBNA may amend this Privacy Statement to ensure that PBNA can continue to keep you informed. PBNA last amended this Privacy Statement on 6 November 2019.
