VCA is intended for managers who work in a high-risk environment and are responsible for employees who perform high-risk work, or perform high-risk work themselves. As a supervisor, VCA not only gives you the basic knowledge that employees should have about the environment, safety and health. VCA also teaches you to supervise how employees deal with these aspects.
VCA (or VCA) means Safety for Operational Leaders VCA. It is the VCA for managerial employees and self-employed workers. A manager or self-employed person who has completed VCA can demonstrate that he or she can work safely and knows how to guide colleagues to work safely and healthily.
VOL-VCA helps you recognize high-risk situations and provide the knowledge of how to act as a supervisor in certain situations in accordance with various laws, regulations and guidelines.
In a leadership position, you need to know at least as much about workplace safety, health and environmental issues as those you supervise. The topics from VCA-base reappear in VOL-VCA.
In addition, as a supervisor, you also bear the responsibility of making executive employees working under your supervision understand the importance of a safe workplace. Moreover, as a supervisor, you have the task of ensuring that employees actually work safely, and you must take action when employees do not comply with the set rules and conditions. VOL-VCA therefore focuses specifically on the managerial aspects when it comes to creating a safe work environment.
In addition to the content of VCA-basic, you will learn in VOL-VCA:
VOL-VCA teaches you how to work healthily and safely yourself and how to do your job properly as a supervisor in terms of safety, environment and health. After obtaining your VOL-VCA certificate, you will know how to create safe working conditions and you will be able to ensure that those you supervise also work according to all guidelines, just like yourself.
Do you work in a high-risk environment, but don't have a management position? Then VCA-base will suffice.
